Our Founder’s Story

Dr Angela Katz founded Wings of Hope Hospice in 2013 to offer patients and families the comfort, support, and care they deserve, treating them as if they were her own family.

Her own experience as a cancer survivor shapes her approach, making her uniquely empathetic to what her patients are going through. She understands the emotional weight of these decisions and is dedicated to walking alongside her patients and their families with love and understanding.

I am writing to tell you what extraordinary, caring, compassionate people we have had caring for my mom. From the initial meeting with Angela to Carol our nurse and the CNA’s Rosie, Cindy, and Michelle. Your hospice/palliative care is unmistakable. Carol advised us every step of the way to make her comfortable. The CNA’s Rosie, Cindy, and Michelle were gentle & caring, as mom told me many times after they left. When she passed, I received a call from Chaplin Elsa a few days later. That call was something that I didn’t know I needed. Her kind words and prayers helped me understand mom’s passing. I truly don’t know how you do this hospice care but thank God for people like you.
